I actually did it! That was so freakin' hard... The funny thing is that the drums aren't that complex like for example in Frayed Ends or Blackened, it's just the double kicks that are so damn exhausting. I used the master tracks on this one again, so the only drumming you hear is my playing.

Didn't know there was a dispute. Lars has always used double bass. From the first album. Did you think one was for looks?
The "double bass consistency" could've and probably was fixed in post production.

Let's be honest, Lars is not technical but when he uses double bass it always sounds good. And he uses in certain sections, there in no overload.

First of all, everyone that says Lars sucks: Go to hell. Go watch your own loved band and not someone elses. Lars has been using double bass since the beginning. He just doesn't use it all the time in every song.

He's never been what I would consider a good drummer, so it's not so much that he doesn't play much double kick, but that he probably shouldn't... This was very sloppy and out of tempo in multiple spots, and it wasn't even a particularly fast run.

😂🤣love there is videos that NEED to state that there is proof that he plays competently. If you're good, you don't need to a video to say so. He's a great businessman, but, that's about it.
I don’t know why people say Lars cant play double bass. If it’s one thing he’s always been good at it’s been the double bass. Yes he skips it in some songs, but he’s never had trouble playing the double bass in fight fire with fire, battery, one, etc
Playing double bass for 10 minutes is infinitely easier than doing it for 3 hours. It's like an NBA payer. Yes they can run, but running every play is too taxing.
